Mahendra Singh Dhoni Aka MSD celebrating his 37th Birthday today. It’s common sight when this man comes into the crease- people chant #Dhoni…#Dhoni…#Dhoni. MS Dhoni has brought glory to the Indian Cricket. Under his captaincy, India won the ICC World T20, ICC World Cup, Champions Trophy and in IPL, Chennai Super Kings won 3 times.

The boy from Bihar took over the captaincy from Rahul Dravid and never looked back. His calmness and composure in the field is just exemplary.

Everyone knows that Dhoni is one of the best finishers in the history of the game. It’s still fresh in our memory the last six of the ICC World Cup 2011 when India lifted the World Cup after 28 long years. Let’s see what Dhoni has achieved in the cricket field. 1. Under Dhoni’s captaincy, India was able to hold the top spot in the test cricket ranking for the first time in 2009.

2. MS Dhoni holds the record for India for longest unbeaten run in test cricket.8 wins and 3 draws to be exact.

3. MSD is the most successful Indian Test captain. Under his captaincy, India won 27 matches.

4. Dhoni holds the records of most number of dismissals by an Indian wicket keeper with 294 dismissals.

5. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the first non-Australian captain and third overall to win 100 cricket matches.

6. He has the highest score by an wicket-keeper. He scored 183* against Sri Lanka in 2005.

7. He is also the first wicket keeper in the world with 100 ODI stumping.

8. He holds the record of most number of matches played as captain in the T20 International history with 72 matches.

9. He won 41 T20I matches as captain, which is the most in the cricket history.

10. In T20I’s, he holds the record of most number of dismissals as wicket keeper. He effected 76 dismissals.

11. He completed most catches in T20 Internationals as wicket keeper (47).

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar : The Man Of Records





Sachin Tendulkar is arguably the best batsman of Modern Cricketing World. He has rewritten the History of Cricket. The numerous records, both in Test and One Day International, made him the greatest of all time.

In his cricketing career, Tendulkar made 15,921 runs in 200 test matches ( Avg 53.78 ) and 18,426 runs in 463 ODIs ( Avg 44.83).

Here’re few records Sachin made in his 20+ years career.

1. Sachin played the most number of One-Day Internationals i.e. 463 matches.

2. Sachin was declared 62 times Man of the Match award which is the highest.

3. He was adjusted most Number of Man of the Series award (15 times).

4. Sachin has the longest ODI playing period i.e. 22 years 91 days.

5. He is the only player till now to accomplish rare ODI triple i.e 15000 runs (18426), 100 wickets (154) and 100 catches (140).

6. He holds the record of Most ODI runs (18426 runs in 463 matches)

7. Also holds the record of Most ODI centuries ( 49 ) till now.

8. He is the only batsman to register 8 or more hundreds against two nations – Australia (9) and Sri Lanka (8).

9. Sachin scored 96 fifties in ODI and 68 fifties in Test which is the most number of 50-plus innings.

10. He scored the most number of runs in a calendar year (1894 runs in 1998) and also scored the most number of Hundreds in a calendar year (9 hundreds in 1998).

11. 7 times he scored more than 1000 runs in a calender year.

12. Tendulkar owns the record of most number of 90+ scores in ODI and in test (10) as well.

13. Most runs against Australia (3077), Sri Lanka (3113), South Africa (2001) and Pakistan (2526).

14. He is the First batsman in the cricket history to score an ODI double hundred: 200 not out against South Africa in 2010.

15. He played Most number of test matches (200) scoring most number of runs (15,921) and scored most number of test centuries (51).

16. He is the Fastest to 10,000 runs (195 innings), Fastest to 14,000 runs (279 innings), Fastest to 15,000 runs (300 innings).
